When the news breaks they fix it. Taking the reigns from Craig Kilborn, Jon Stewart has transformed The Daily Show into a mega hit, bringing home Emmy after Emmy and probably more to come. Stewart leads this hilarious production, but his supporting cast is just as good with the likes of Lewis Black, Ed Helms, Robert Corddry, Samantha Bee, and Stephen Colbert - who because of the Daily Show's success now has his own show, "The Colbert Report". What makes the Daily Show so entertaining? Today's media networks naturally focus on bad news stories: death, war, kidnappings, scandals, etc. To many viewers, the real news is simply too depressing. The Daily Show on the other hand takes the opposite approach, even if half the time it's completely fake. Each week new celebrity guests are featured, along with many political icons and national figures. Another reason why the program is so popular with the college demographic is becuase the show itself is pretty liberal, as is the majority of the college community. Regardless of which side of the political spectrum you call Home, you'll love the Daily Show with Jon Stewart.
