As a fan of both Jay-Z and Linkin Park, this album naturally caught my eye as one to watch. After hearing the Numb/Encore remix for the first time on the radio a few weeks ago, I was hooked. The way both artists were able to combine and fuse their radically different styles of music together is absolutely amazing, and the sound they created will send shivers down your spine. Trying to convey the feelings I get from listening to this deliciously unique album is virtually impossible; it truly has to be heard to be understood.
In just a few days time, six intense tracks were completed taking some of the best songs from both of the artist's respective collections. "Dirt off your Shoulders" was mixed with the LP hit, "Lying From You" to serve as Collision Course's first track. The second track on this incredible album combines the popular Jay-Z hit, "Big Pimpin'" with LP's "Papercut", that creates orgasms in your ears. The next two songs on the proverbial gurney are "Jigga What" from Jay-Z, and "Faint" from Linkin Park. The fourth and arguably most-popular song on the Collision Course album is the "Numb/Encore" track, which is raping airwaves on nearly every frequency around the world. If you haven't heard this scrumptious song, just turn on your nearest radio and enjoy. The final tracks featured on Collision Course feature "Izzo" and "In the End", as well as "Points of Authority", "99 Problems", and "One Step Closer."
Not a big fan of Linkin Park, or maybe Jay-Z? If you only really listen to one, and not the other, I still strongly encourage you to consider picking Collision Course up. The way these two artists were able to mold their two styles together is simply incredible, and your ears will thank me. Plus, the album comes with an exlusive DVD that features live performances, picture galleries, bonus content, and much more. One of the greatest collaberations of our time.
