James Morrison Undiscovered Review

2007

I'll admit, I'm pretty picky when it comes to music. I remain disgustingly faithful to my favorite bands, and sadly rarely branch out to new artists. Well just yesterday a review copy arrived on the College Downtime office doorstep, and after listening to it it made me realize not only how big of a dumbass I really am, but also just how much good music I've been missing out on. This album is that good; I've already listened to it straight through 6 or 7 times and I've only had it for approximately 36 hours. It's called "Undiscovered", by a 22 year old British artist named James Morrison. James has already taken the entire English island by storm by selling over 1 million copies worldwide, and his success is just now starting to hit the States; the scary thing is the James Morrison hysteria has only begun. His voice is unlike anything you've ever heard, and it will stick in your mind like a Stevie Wonder song. His tracks are incredibly well written, and every song is just awesome to listen to. You know what, it's impossible to describe how good this music is in words; you have to listen to James to believe the hype, and hyping him I am. You'll find streaming audio right here, but you'll also find "Undiscovered" in music stores around the country. This album deserves a spot in your collection, stat hoser. You will not be disappointed, only left wanting more. You heard it here, well probably last. Looking forward to reviewing James' future albums!
