After an intense, tour-ridden two year hiatus, the Chevelle brothers have released their second album aptly entitled, "This Type of Thinking - (Could Do Us In)". The next album is full of sure-fire hits such as "Vitamin R", "The Clincher", "Breach Birth", and "Panic Prone." Listeners of Chevelle's first album will feel right at home with "This Type of Thinking", as it takes the same melodic style of the first album and vaults it to an entirely new level that will send your body into an automatic headbang. Tracks like "Panic Prone" provide a nice alternative to the regular, hardcore melody, that usually acts as Chevelle's mainstream choice, as it is a much softer approach. From beginning to end, this album rocks; your stereo will agree.
Since being released a few weeks ago, "Vitamin R" was the first single to hit the radio waves around the world. Just like "The Red" acted as their last albums' flagship title, "Vitamin R" does the same with "This Type of Thinking". I swear, listening to this song will enevitably lead to countless cases of blown speakers, car accidents, and noise complaints around the globe. Scratch that, this whole cd will as single after single continues to be released unto the hungry masses. If Alternative Rock is your fetish, this album is for you. Our highest recommendation.
