Blink 182 - Blink 182 Review
Geffen Records © 2003
Total Time: 49:47
Written by Raffman - June 19th, 2004
While this self-titled album from Geffen Records arrived on CD shelves this past November, the hit are still flying and the hits
keep coming. It's been over two years now since the band's last album, "Take off your Pants and Jacket", yet nothing has been lost in
their music. If you have ever jammed out to their first aforementioned album, or even to their sidegig, "Boxcar Racers", then this album
is a must-have. From song 1 to 14 you'll be entranced, reaching Blinkage utopia along the way as you hear melocleptic hits like "Violence",
"Down", and "Easy Target".
While many bands release their new albums filled with space fillers, a la "tracks that are just dialogue instead of real music because
we couldn't come up with another cool song", Blink stays the musical path 95% of the time. While there are a few moments within
the near hour of this CD that feature this, they are few and far inbetween and in the end don't even take away from what this latest Blink
album has to offer; and shit does it have a lot to offer. For a 14-track album to contain three Top 20 singles is incredible; but the fact
that it will probably have 3+ more is completely unheard of. In sum, if you like Blink 182, even in the slightest way, this album is worth
the price whether you buy it used for $6 bucks on Amazon or brand new off the Best Buy CD shelf. If you haven't picked it up then stand up, walk over to your
closest Douchebag line and sign-in. Tell them College Downtime sent you and you'll get a 10% discount.
