Sequels are usually highly criticized, and almost always a disapointment. Rarely does a sequel or second album actually surpass the success of the first, yet Out of Exile has accomplished that feat and more. Audioslave's first self-titled album set the bar incredibly high, especially for a spin-off type band like Cornell and co. Yet the third and fourth tracks on Out of Exile has enough firepower to easily match the success of their first go around, and much more. Cornell gave us a glimpse of their awesome band chemistry in their ability to come up with their first single, Cochise, and Out of Exile is essentially an entire album full of cochise-worthy goodness. If "Doesn't Remind Me" doens't get you jamming out, you are either deaf or you just don't appreciate solid rock. In my humble Interweb opinion, this album really shows me that they've finally come together and completley gelled, because from front to back this album rocks. Although you've only probably heard "Be Yourself" and "Doesn't Remind Me", there are plenty more single-worthy tracks coming from this delicious album. More specifically, "The Curse", and "Yesterday to Tomorrow". You heard it here first bitches. Well, you read it I guess; unless those telepathy classes actually worked. Anywho, get this album before I come to your house and Jay-and-Silent-Bob your ass.
