Love him or hate him, Carlos Mencia isn't afraid to speak his mind. Whether he's discussing if gay is the new black or hosting the first annual Stereotype Olympics, Carlos is always at the forefront of controversy. If you haven't sat down and watched an episode of his Comedy Central television show, which is aptly entitled "Mind of Mencia", you're really missing out. A great way to describe a Mind of Mencia episode is a combination of South Park and The Chapelle Show, uh, minus the cartoon characters. Social aspects are usually the topic at hand, and for good reason because this is the area where Carlos really excels. Season Two of the Mind of Mencia has just been unleashed on DVD in a hilarious unrated version that includes all 14 original episodes across two discs, along with some special features mixed in.

While I realize that the "Mind of Mencia" is a variety show type program, the special features on Mind of Mencia Uncensored Season 2 are really disappointing. If you pick up a copy of season two, all you're getting for sides are some pretty weak deleted scenes, bloopers, and outtakes. What does that mean? That means unless Mind of Mencia is one of your favorite shows, or you've got a ton of money to blow (which is rare for us college students), Mind of Mencia Uncensored Season 2 is a rental at best. The episodes are hilarious, but if you're not a big fan of the show or you want to give Carlos a test run first, then save your hard-earned money that your parents give you and just rent it. If you love the episodes, then spurn my advice and buy yourself a copy. Or you could always win one from College Downtime, since we're giving away three free copies in the forums. Your choice.
