Hustle Season Two Review

You know, it's damn hard composing an objective, fair review for a season release of one of your all-time favorite televison shows. I had that problem with season one of Hustle, and today with the brand new release of "Hustle Season Two" I'm having an extreme case of deja vu. For those of you who haven't had the pleasure of experiencing an episode of "Hustle", let me take a minute of your time to enlighten you on what you're missing here. Hustle was completely new to me until a review copy of season one arrived at my doorstep last Fall, mainly because it's produced across the pond in Britain via the BBC. The show combines a wicked blend of outstanding acting talent and phenomenal acting, with tons of heart-pounding suspense on the side. Plus it's all about heists; Dane Cook said it himself too - all guys want to be part of a heist. Hustle Season Two is the closest you're gonna get without going to prison folks.

While the show itself deserves a perfect score, the DVD extras are excrutiatingly lacking once again. The only special feature you'll be getting this season is a feature called "The Big Finish", which is a pretty cool in-depth look on the making of the final episode. I'm still waiting for interviews with the cast and more importantly the writers, who are the geniuses behind all these delicious episodes. Thank your favorite deity that the show is outstanding, otherwise this DVD wouldn't sell too many copies. Here's the bottom line: Hustle is one of the best television shows on the planet. I'm still utterly surprised how HBO hasn't bought the rights to air these yet, because more Americans have to see this show asap; it's that good. The DVD on the other hand is definitely lacking the extras, but you know what - when you get a show this good, it doesn't really matter. Hustle Season Two is a must have, without a doubt, even if all you're getting are the episodes! Pick this one up today!
