When a film receives four Academy Award nominations, including one for Best Picture, you gotta figure it's going to get it's own "Special Edition" DVD set at some point in time. Well just recently the critically acclaimed film, The Green Mile, got just that spanning two outstanding DVD discs making this an obvious must-have for everyone on the planet. Based on a popular Stephen King tale, The Green Mile takes place at Cold Mountain Penitentiary with Michael Clarke Duncan on Death Row and Tom Hanks as the prison security guard. From inmates with supernatual powers to a remarkable little mouse named Mr. Jingles, The Green Mile will pull you in until the credits start rolling like not many other films can. The acting, directing, and writing behind this movie are simply phenomenal, and the new Two-Disc Special Edition DVD takes this film to an entirely new dimension with more special features than you can ever imagine.

First and foremost comes the most sought after special feature of them all: audio commentary by writer/director Frank Darabont. When you pick up this recently-released set you'll also be getting a never-before-seen documentary behind the film called, "Walking the Mile: The Making of the Green Mile". Also included is a six-part documentary gallery featuring Stephen King: Storyteller, The Art of Adaptation, Acting on the Mile, Designing the Mile, The Magic of the Mile, and the Tail of Mr. Jingles. On top of all that Warner Bros also threw in makeup and screen tests for the film's biggest stars, Tom Hanks and Michael Clarke Duncan, as well as a teaser trailer that is a must-see in itself. Finish it off with the original theatrical trailers and english and french subtitles and you've got yourself a DVD set clearly worthy of the "Special Edition" title. Folks this is a must-have title, even if you've already got the original film on DVD. Grab your copy today!
