PhysX-powered FPS Warmonger Hits October 16
Independent developer NetDevil's oddly named physics-intensive FPS Warmonger, Operation: Downtown Destruction arrives on PC via digital distribution on October 16.
"Warmonger offers a unique environment for fans of FPS games, where no place is safe, and seeking good cover is a challenge rather than a given," said lead producer Chris Sherland. "Test sessions leave a player with a strong emotional reaction to this...it's downright scary to play!"

Halo 3 Scores 10/9/9/9 in Famitsu!!!
The most respected gaming magazine in Japan has put Halo 3 through its paces, and the verdict is now in. Four reviewers took the game on and Bungie's latest walked away with a score of 10/9/9/9. Relatively huge scores for the game in a country where the Xbox 360 is floundering horribly. Thanks to Kotaku for the news break!

Wii: Rockstar's Table Tennis Hands on Preview!
Ever since the release of Rockstar Games presents Table Tennis on Xbox 360, internet message boards have seen regular posts hoping for a Wii version of the game. Whether due to fan demand or pure internal decision-making, Rockstar Leeds is now indeed working on a Wii port of Rockstar San Diego's original. I checked out a recent build of the game during a Rockstar event in San Francisco--and I came away with impressions more positive than those of Carlos Bergfeld in his PAX 07 preview.

Crysis "Ice" Hands-On Impressions
After months of Crytek showing off Crysis' war-torn island paradise locations--undeniably gorgeous but also geographically reminiscent of the studio's previous game Far Cry--the studio has fully unveiled a later level depecting a vast, flash-frozen rocky landcape. Crysis boss Cevat Yerli demonstrated the level, to which he referred simply as "Ice," during Electronic Arts' recent studio showcase event.
