Solid horror films are few and far between, and I'm sure I'm preaching to the choir here. 28 Days Later is one of those rare gems that I'm confidant will spawn a bad ass sequel, this time in the form of 28 Weeks Later. This screamfest is set to unleash the deadly disease yet again in less than two weeks on May 11th, 2007. 28 WEEKS LATER, the follow-up to the terrifically successful 28 Days Later, picks up six months after the rage virus has annihilated the British Isles. The US Army declares that the war against infection has been won, and that the reconstruction of the country can begin. As the first wave of refugees return, a family is reunited - but one of them unwittingly carries a terrible secret. The virus is not yet dead, and this time, it is more dangerous than ever. Robert Carlyle, Harold Perrineau, and Catherine McCormack lead a cast of talented newcomers including Mackintosh Muggleton and Imogen Poots. Newcomer Juan Carlos Fresnadillo directs, while Danny Boyle, director of the first film, is an executive producer.
